FROSTBITE

Here's some poetry for these cold days...

Feelings of the day so unbearably cold,

This story is starting to get old.

The moment you open up the door;

The painful frost hits instantly once more.

Taken far from my safety, filled with trepidation.

It’s not just me, seems that the freezing dread has taken over the entire nation.

For not a single soul bears a true, warm smile.

Thinking it’ll get better, living in denial.

Treading the ice-covered ground, an endless walk in search of heat.

But the doubt and pessimism are overwhelming;

For that heat I shall never be able to meet.

Lost within empty cold, stuck in place.

The warmth of the day, I shall never face.
