Our fantastic Ms Maričić is putting magic into science again! She has prepared another treat for all fans of biology (and those who are about to become ones) by inviting us to join another year os MARCH MAMMAL MADNESS! She has prepared a full information sheet for us so dig in and be brave!
We are excited to announce that this year we will once again be hosting March Mammal Madness 2025 – a fun and educational competition that engages students in learning about animals, ecosystems, and scientific predictions! Our parents received all the information by email so we can only cross our fingers and hope they let us participate!
What is March Mammal Madness?
March Mammal Madness is an annual tournament where animals “compete” in simulated battles based on their natural characteristics, behaviours, and habitats. Students will predict the outcomes of these battles, following a structured bracket system similar to sports tournaments.

How Can Children Participate?
Students can collect their tournament bracket from school on Monday (3rd of March). They will research the animals and predict the winners for each round (in school and at home). Deadline: Completed brackets must be submitted by March 10 at 3:00 PM. Winners: There will be 3 student winners – one from lower years, one from upper years and one from our high school!
If a student is absent but still wants to participate, they can complete the bracket at home and email it to me before the deadline.
